Yacht “Atalante” was built in 1961 in Belgium on request of the government for research projects. Yacht had to work in Arctic and received ice-class A1. It worked in Arctic more than 15 years. After, in 1976 Mr.Peterson has bought yacht and made refiting. Since that time up to 2007 yacht was a property of Mr. Peterson, who was a founder of a sea museum in Monaco. Yacht bells and ship's journal were first exhibits at the Museum.
Yacht “Atalante” has lifelong right of free entrance to the yacht clubs of Monaco.
